Meet Cynthia Goble

At Rise and Resilience, we believe that every challenge holds the seed of transformation. Founded by Cynthia Goble, a memoirist, speaker, and senior operations and human resources leader, Rise & Resilience is grounded in lived experience, deep empathy, and the ability to bring clarity to complexity.

Cynthia’s defining professional gift—her ability to organize chaos into clear, functional systems—was forged long before her corporate career began. From a very young age, organization was not simply a skill; it was a means of survival. Over decades, that instinct evolved into a powerful professional strength and a personal lifeline—one she now offers to others navigating transition, uncertainty, or upheaval.

With more than three decades of leadership experience in operations, human resources, and administration, Cynthia has helped organizations stabilize growth, solve complex problems, rebuild morale, and create systems that support both performance and people. Her work consistently focused on workforce planning, organizational structure, employee relations, and operational clarity—often stepping into environments marked by rapid change, disorder, or crisis and restoring direction and confidence.

Beyond titles or industries, Cynthia’s work has always centered on people—helping individuals and organizations regain footing, move forward with purpose, and thrive during moments of transformation.

Her debut memoir, Forever a Foster Child: A Memoir of Resilience, traces her journey from childhood trauma and foster care to professional leadership, spiritual grounding, and self-authorship. Writing the book took nearly three decades and immense courage, culminating in her decision to put her name on her story and fully own it.

Through Rise & Resilience, Cynthia brings together lived experience, professional rigor, and compassion to serve individuals, organizations, and communities seeking not just inspiration—but structure, clarity, and sustainable resilience.

Her Story

Born into a family marked by addiction, mental illness, and neglect, Cynthia experienced profound loss at the age of seven with the death of her father. She and her sisters were separated and placed into foster care, where instability became the norm. Yet, within those turbulent years, Cynthia discovered a powerful spiritual awareness—an intuitive inner voice that became her compass and comfort.

Refusing to be defined by her circumstances or forgotten by a system that overlooked her, Cynthia pursued academic excellence, becoming the first in her family to attend and graduate from college. Her path led her into healthcare and later into leadership roles in operations and human resources, where she championed people-first workplace cultures rooted in empathy and resilience.

Cynthia’s healing journey has been shaped by decades of collaboration with therapists, spiritual counselors, and educators. Her long-standing mentorship with a retired research psychologist deepened her belief in the transformative power of storytelling—not just for the writer, but for every reader seeking connection and hope.

Through Rise and Resilience, LLC, she offers faith-informed keynotes, trauma-aware workshops, and inspirational talks for schools, foster youth programs, recovery centers, and women’s empowerment organizations.

Cynthia currently resides in the Northeast with her loyal Beagle, Mason. She continues to write, speak, and mentor others on the path from surviving to thriving.

“I wasn’t just surviving—

I was silently preparing to Rise.”

— Cynthia Goble, Forever a Foster Child

When I was seven years old, my father—my anchor and protector—was diagnosed with terminal cancer. He was only twenty-nine. He fought bravely for three more years before passing away. From the moment of his diagnosis, my life began to unravel. I was placed in foster care, and what followed was a series of constant disruptions—homes, schools, relationships, and identities. Yet through it all, I never stopped searching for stability, purpose, and meaning.

For decades, I kept my story quiet, believing strength meant survival without acknowledgment. It wasn’t until much later—through therapy, spiritual connection, and the unwavering love of animals—that I learned healing begins when we tell the truth about what we’ve endured.

I’m a woman who still believes in the power of handwritten letters. I tear up at dog rescue videos. I’ve rebuilt my life more times than I can count. And I understand what it means to lead with grace—even when your heart is still healing.

Rise and Resilience, LLC isn’t just a business. It’s the full-circle expression of everything I’ve lived, lost, and reclaimed. I built it for people like you—who want to lead with integrity, heal deeply, and live fully aligned with who they are.

Meet Mason

Beloved Companion. Gentle Soul. Steady Light.

Mason, my loyal Beagle, joined me during a chapter marked by deep reflection, healing, and creation. While I wrote Forever a Foster Child, he lay quietly by my side—offering warmth without words, presence without pressure.

He’s more than a companion—he’s a quiet witness to transformation. With his soulful eyes and unshakable calm, Mason reminds me to pause, to listen, and to lead with gentleness. He has walked with me through grief, reinvention, and renewal—and still manages to make me laugh with his perfectly timed “Beagle bellow.”

In a life shaped by resilience, Mason is both comfort and constant. He represents all the animals who have held my heart and helped me heal—and I am so grateful he is here for this chapter, too.
